Cats Protection's Rescue Cat Awards 2008, sponsored by Purina PetCare are celebrating stories of feline heroism, survival, companionship and bravery Noah, from Methley, Leeds is a finalist in the Most Incredible Story category, belief-defying, true stories from the cat world. This category is run in association with The People's Take It Easy Magazine.

One-year-old Noah was just minutes away from drowning after the village of Methley near Leeds was hit by the severe floods of 2007.

When Julia Malloch, and her daughter saw him and two other stray kittens being saved from a floating branch in a flooded field by some teenagers on a makeshift raft, they knew they wanted to give him a home. Noah was the only name they could give him! Despite his traumatic start to life, a year later, he is a happy, healthy cat.
