Karuna Shriram is an Educationist and a Social Worker. Her commitment in the field of education and social welfare for over two decades has given concrete shape directly to various education policies and welfare programmes. She works with various NGO's like Aarth - Aastha, Salaam Baalak Trust, DSWSC, Tamana and others in various capacities including being a member of the Board. Shriram is a member of the Japan Committee of Asian University for Women Bangladesh. She is also a member of PHD Task Force on Women & Child Development, Rotary Club of Delhi Midtown and a Paul Harris Fellow.
